This blanket might look complicated but once you get into the swing of things you will hopefully find it quite therapeutic. The shell stitch is a repeating pattern with alternating rows.
All of my kits and patterns are designed for beginners, if you're just learning, I find it's easier to start with a smaller size blanket so that you can get some satisfaction out of your project earlier.
These kits include the yarn you'll need and a PDF pattern that you'll need to print from home (or read from the screen of your device), this pattern and sizing is based on a 5mm crochet hook (you can add one to the kit if you don't have one at home).
The pattern has three different size options, but you can easily use this pattern to make a throw size blanket by upsizing your yarn and your hook.
Pattern sizes are;
Size One | Bassinet/Capsule | 60cm x 60cm
Size Two | Pram | 75cm x 90cm
Size Three | Cot | 120cm x 160cm
The yarn is 50% wool, 25% alpaca and 25% acrylic and is made in Italy (I know, I tried really hard to course NZ made - I promise!). There are seven different yarn colours to choose from;
