This bobble baby blanket is a beginner to intermediate level crochet pattern, and is suitable for those just starting out with crochet and looking to extend their stitch practise, or for experienced crochets wanting an easy project.
This pattern makes a blanket approximately 55cm wide by 75cm long. I used Skeinz Home pure NZ wool (approx. 5mm wide) for the example shown in the pattern. I used a 10mm hook even though the suggested hook size is 12-15mm because I wanted tighter stitches.
You could use any chunky yarn for this pattern. A chunkier yarn with a bigger hook will make a larger blanket, a finer yarn with a smaller hook will make a smaller blanket. There are resizing details at the end of the pattern – this pattern would make a great cot blanket or throw, whether in a chunky or fine style.
Once you purchase this pattern you will receive an email with a link to a downloadable file that is your pattern. This pattern can easily be printed on A4 paper if you wish. Please do not share this pattern.
If you are struggling to find a chunky yarn that you like, this pattern will work with two strands of yarn suitable for a 6mm or 7mm hook. If you have any questions about this pattern, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Due to excessive downloads via the same email link, the settings have been changed so that the link in your email will expire after the first download. Please ensure you are downloading the pattern to a computer, laptop or iPad for best access.
